Why are we doing this? People often want recommendations of wineries and tasting rooms to visit when they travel. The goal is to build a comprehensive resource of recommendations from a broad base of wine aficionados, regardless of their knowledge or experience levels.
There are just as many reasons why a person enjoys a winery visit as there are ways to describe a wine’s bouquet. The wine is important, of course, but so are the proprietors, the ambiance, the education, and the character of the place. Perhaps, a beautiful vineyard, a unique tour, a knowledgeable staff or a restaurant or picnic area on the grounds makes all the difference. In essence, your entry should capture the key reasons the winery or tasting room deserves a visit. We welcome constructive comments and helpful tips, such as the best times to visit or other things people might not know about.
